- Description
- The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region Seven (7), Alaska, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price procurement to Lotek Wireless Inc. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife, Region Seven (7), Alaska requires GPS 4400S radio collars and replacement battery pack. Background: There has been an ongoing wolf study for approximately 2 years. The initial procurement of radio telemetry equipment was from Lotex Wireless. Remotely downloading location data from the wolves requires using a control unit that communicates with the radio collars. At the time of the initial procurement the USFWS purchased a control unit from Lotex. A cost savings to the Government would be to continue procuring Lotex Wireless collars and replacement batteries that work directly and are compatible with the Lotex control unit. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. See numbered note 22.
