- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District (NAU) is soliciting interest for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract for a design-build construction project consists of designing and constructing a new outdoor therapy facility for children with disabilities in Karlovac, Croatia. The facility will have to be equipped with easily accessible equipment specially designed for children with disabilities. Specific work to be included in the project is: preparing the land, preparation for equipment installation; placement of shock-absorbing rubbery mats; construction of individual fields, access stairs, and ramps; construction of field-side edges and paths connecting the fields; placement of equipment; and adjustment of the equipment. Responses are desired from firms who can demonstrate recent experience and excellent past performance in design/construction of similar facilities, but expressions of interests will be accepted from all interested parties. No telephone calls or faxed responses will be accepted. Prime construction firms are required to provide their email address, physical address for any courier service delivery, along with a telephone number, facsimile number and an English-speaking point of contact. Requests that do not provide complete information will not be considered. Note that DFARS Clause 252.222-7002 Compliance with Local Labor Laws (Overseas) applies to this project. This Sources Sought announcement is issued for information and planning purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Sources Sought shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Government will NOT reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Responses shall be received by 1600 Central European Time (CET) on 12 March 2010.
