- Description
- The US Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of Joint Program Executive Office-Chemical and Biological Defense, Joint Project Manager Biological Defense, intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a 10-kilowatt (Kw) Auxiliary Power Units (APU) to support the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) Biological Integrated Detection System (BIDS). The procurement will utilize Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Government anticipates issuance of a five (5) year, Firm-Fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for 10 Kw APUs with a 24 month warranty. The anticipated initial delivery order will be for 32 - 10 Kw APUs. The anticipated guaranteed minimum quantity is 32 10 Kw APUs. The anticipated maximum quantity is 200 10 Kw APUs. At the request of the contractor, the Government will supply 32 alternating current generators NSN 6115-01-484-6250 for incorporation into the 10 kW APU. It is anticipated that this procurement will be solicited as 100% small business set-aside. However, the Government reserves the right to change the solicitation procedure. The Government envisions awarding a single contract. However, the Government reserves the right to issue more than one contract, or none. If more than one contract is awarded the requirements will be divided (ratio to be determined) among successful offerors. The applicable NAICS Code is 333611 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
