- NASA/KSC has a requirement for a Leybold PhoeniXL, helium leak detector. NASA/KSCintends to purchase this name brand item because the Leybold PhoeniXL helium leakdetector is the only unit on the market completely compatible with the two other Leyboldhelium leak detector units currently being used in the NASA laboratory. The items thatare needed are a quantity of one (1) each of the following items: 1) PheoniXL Helium Leakdetector; 2) Helium Leak Detector Remote Controller with cable; 3) Modified Cart Replacewheels with 2' wide; 4) Partial Flow System; 5) System Trivac NT16 World Motor N62; 6)Power Cable NEMA 100-120V; 7) Vacuum Hose DN 24 KF VA 1000mm; 8) System Exhaust Filter AR16-25; 9) TRIVAC NT16-25 Horizontal Exhaust Port. The upload document named NNK10331394Qreferences the above items and provides more information for this RFQ.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing tosuzanne.blubaugh@nasa.gov no later than 3:00 pm EST on March 9, 2010. It is the quoter'sresponsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
