Description
THIS SYNOPSIS MODIFICATION IS ISSUED TO CORRECT THE SOLICITATION NUMBER PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED ON 2 MARCH 2010. THE CORRECT SOLICITATION NUMBER IS SPRRA1-10-R-0070. NOT OTHER CHANGE HAS OCCURED. * TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED* FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTACT, FRAN KING, CONTRACTING OFFICER, DSCR-AHA, 256-955-9250. ( E-mail: fran.king1@us.army.mil ) This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Suggest that small business firms, or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this procurement, make contact with the firm(s) listed. RFP shall be issued to The Boeing Company, 5000 E. McDowell Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215-9707, identified by their Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code 8V613, and SPX Corporation, SPX Precision Components, 300 Fenn Rd, Newington, CT 06111-2244, CAGE code 82001. The Government proposes to acquire on a three-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) requirement a minimum quantity of 100, up to 150 maximum, of an Head, Rotor Wing, NSN: 1615-01-512-0889, Part Number 7-311411003-625 applicable to the APACHE AH-64 (BJ) Helicopter. Forecasted quantities are: 1st Year, 100; 2nd Year, 25, and 3rd Year, 25. The Government will only be obligated to buy the minimum quantity under the proposed IDIQ contract. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Destination to be furnished. A quantity of (3) three, Contractor Tested First Article is required for part described. Delivery schedule 258 days after contract award for submission and acceptance of test report. Production Delivery schedule 6 units per month after acceptance of test report. Offerors must be approved and qualified. Offerors must be approved and qualified. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. This part is identified by the Directorate for Engineering as a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and an Engineering Test Item. This part can only be broken out to sources that have demonstrated the technical ability to produce this item, including possession of the necessary inspection/test equipment and manufacturing technology. Sources must be approved prior to being awarded a contract for this item.This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS TECHNICAL DATA WHOSE EXPORT IS RESTRICTED BY THE ARMS EXPORT CONTROL ACT (TITLE 22, USC., SEC 2751 ET SEQ) OR THE EXPORT ADMINISTRATION ACT (TITLE 50, USC., APP 2401-2402) EXECUTIVE ORDER 12470. THIS INFORMATION CANNOT BE RELEASED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNMENT.
