- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete Project RA679-08-107 Halls & Walls, Bldgs 1 & 2 at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials and perform work the Halls & Walls, Bldgs 1 & 2 project at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center as required by drawings and specifications. All work in the main bid item includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, necessary removal of existing construction and certain other items for the upgrades of the corridor finishes and replacement of ceilings and doors. The estimated dollar value of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on/about March 17, 2010, with an estimated bid opening date on/about April 16, 2010. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB). All solicitation packages will be available for downloading from the website www.fedbizopps.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED. A pre-bid walk through is scheduled for March 24, 2010 at 2:00PM CST and March 25, 2010 at 9:00AM.
