- Design/Build Construction Requirement: Windows Upgrades Building One, Project No. 673-10-603. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Size standard under NAICS 236220 is $33.5 million; Project Cost Range is between $100,000,000 and $5,000,000. Location of work is at The Department of Veterans Affairs, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (VA), 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33612. A solicitation notice may be available on or about 30 Apr 2010. Requirement: Project No. 673-10-603, titled Windows Upgrade Building One. Provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, supervision, and tools to complete the project. The general scope of work includes construct removal and installation of Building One exterior windows on the ground, first (1st), second (2nd), and third (3rd) floors. The ground floor will require removal of Vents and louvers shall be replaced with matching finish of the new windows. The removal of existing windows shall be accomplished without causing damage to the exterior and interior of Building One and surrounding areas. The newly installed windows must be Energy Star Rated and exceed the specification of FL-1520 Hurricane rating. Only a qualified installer of the window manufacturer shall be allowed to install any of these windows for this project. After posting of the Request for Proposals, all questions must be submitted via email to regina.height@va.gov. No phone calls will be accepted.
