- This is to correct the Solicitation Number W52H09-09-R-0333 that was posted on 12 August 2009. The correct solicitation number for the M16A3/M16A4 Rifles is W52H09-10-R-0141. The M16A3/M16A4 is Export Controlled. The Following Descriptions remain unchanged with the exception of the issuing date which is now 10 March 2010. The following is attached for convenience purposes only. Requirement will be issued as a Best Value Full and Open Solicitation for the M16A3 and the M16A4 Rifles to be awarded as a 5 year, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price contract. The items to be procured are the M16A3, NSN: 1005-01-357-5112, P/N: 12012000 and the M16A4 Rifles, NSN: 1005-01-383-2872, P/N: 12973001. Guaranteed minimum quantities will be stated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501 and 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of it.
