- The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement plans to issue a Best Value Request for Proposalfor award of a firm fixed price contract for the procurement of necessary labor,equipment, and materials required to (1) drydock, inspection, perform any necessary steelwork, and paint one NASA Liquid Oxygen (LOX) Barge; and (2) drydock, inspection,cleaning, fabrication, repairing, sandblasting, painting, and installation of Governmentfurnished equipment to the underwater and top side of one NASA/SSC Push boat Clermont II.This procurement includes American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) requirementswhich will be clearly identified in the solicitation. The period of performance for this action is 120 days from date of award for the Bargeand 45 days from date of award for the Pushboat, but no later than September 30, 2010.This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 336611 and 1,000employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about March 10, 2010, with ananticipated proposal due date of on or about April 9, 2010. The firm date for receipt ofproposals will be stated in the RFP. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note 'B'. The RFP and related documents [with the exception of the specifications and drawings]will only be issued electronically and will be available via the internet. Thesedocuments may be accessed and downloaded at the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS)Business Opportunities website @ http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/nais/link_syp.cgi orat the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website @ http://www.fbo.gov.
