Description
RECOVERY-THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009. RECOVERY - TURTLE MOUNTAIN (MTN) WILDERNESS ABANDONED MINE LANDS (AML). Mexican Trailhead and Turtle MTN Wilderness AML are one of the same projects. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Needles Field Office have a requirement for remediation of physical safety hazards associated with Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) and install primitive campground improvements within the California Desert District (CDD). See attached Statement of Work (SOW) for specific work detail. Please review all eight (8) pertinent project attachments (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10). Contractors are required to submit bidder references (indicated by attachment 7) and other qualifying information (indicated by attachment 8) to BLM. BLM did not attach items 7 and 8 in the solicitation; contractors responsible for submission of these attachments. A pre-bid site visit was conducted on February 2, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. (PST) by the Project Representative (Mona Daniels) and the Technical Representative (Sterling White). Contractors are required to bid on all fifteen (15) tasks; partial tasks bids are not acceptable. Contractors that submitted proposals against solicitation # L10PS01484 prior to its cancellation are required to re-submit their proposals. The $2 million liability insurance is a California State standard for Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) projects. Prior to contract award, the selected contractor must obtain the minimum $2 million liability insurance. The offer due date is extended to March 12, 2010, 1600 (PST); changed from February 18, 2010, 1600 (PST).
