Description
SOLICITATION - Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, licenses, supervision, etc. necessary to remove and replace the identified AC systems at the New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus, under Recovery Act project number 630A4-09-401, in accordance with the provided drawings and specifications.Work includes, but is not limited to, the installation and demolition of the new units, including piping, ductwork, controls, insulation, electrical and structural systems and functional testing and selective repair of the Mammoth Unit. Work involves infrastructure and utilities (chilled water, steam, electrical and structural) work for new AC systems including affected alterations and repairs of architectural features including roofing, wall penetrations and finishes. Work involves multiple construction phasing. Contractor is not allowed to proceed with next phase of construction without the direct consent of the resident engineer and contract officer. To minimize the impact on the daily operation of the medical center, certain mechanical, structural and electrical work will have to be done after hours and weekends only. All work is in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. All work is in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. This construction project is a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The project cost range (base bid) is between $2000000 - $5000000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 M applies. This is a Sealed Bid Procurement. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation, posted on www.fedbizopps.gov March 3, 2010. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. Bidders should re-visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received prior to bid opening by the date that will be specified in the solicitation. NO hardcopies, NO telephone inquiries and questions, ONLY in writing, will be accepted no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
