Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District intends to issue a request for quotes (RFQ) for industrial and marine electrician services primarily in the Wilmington, NC area, but to include travel to other areas within the District. The Contractor shall occupy and maintain a facility or site within 25 miles of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Repair Yard, 232 Battleship Road, Wilmington, NC 28401 with equipment capable of providing industrial and marine electrical services. The Contractor will be responsible for making repairs and designing new installations and upgrades of electrical systems on Government vessels, buildings or equipment within the District. The RFQ will be issued on or about 22 March 2010. The solicitation is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14,000,000. It is the Government's intent to award an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for a base period of one year with four one year options. There is no guarantee that options on the follow-on years will be exercised. The solicitation will be a lowest-priced, technically acceptable (LPTA) procurement. Award will be made to the responsible offeror with the lowest-priced, technically-acceptable offer. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors must also register on the ORCA website for online representations and certifications. The offer due date will be stated in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. No telephone, faxed or mailed requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone number, a valid fax number and a point of contact. All notifications of changes to the solicitation will be made through the Federal Business Opportunities website. Therefore, offerors who have registered are required to review the website daily for any posted changes to the solicitation.
