- This requirement is for Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Support for the F/A-18 A/B/C/D Generator Converter Unit (GCU) system. The scope associated with this PBL includes: 1) Repair or replacement of all components (repairable and consumable), 2) Storage and immediate issuance of all Government owned inventories to meet availability and fill rate goals, 3) Reliability improvements, 4) Inventory, retrograde, and transportation management, 5) Configuration and obsolescence management. The PBL support of the GCU system is premised on a teaming relationship between the awardee and FRC Southwest. The resultant Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract will be a requirements contract consisting of a five year base period. Only GE Aviation (1R9D8)currently has the experience, expertise, and technical data to provide the required integrated package of support. A complete data package is not available.
