- Request for Quotation (RFQ) RMK00100036. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to procure flatbeds and tool boxes. The contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, tools, and other items and services necessary to ensure the items meet the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standards. Requested items will be used to refurbish Model 52 Wildland Fire Engines. The Model 52 Wildland Fire Engine is used to extinguish forest and range fires for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The BIA Wildland Fire Engines have to be inspected and rebuilt every 5 to 6 years because of hard use. Fire fighter safety or the end user of the Model 52 Wildland Fire Engine is a primary concern of the BIA NIFC Model 52 Wildland Engine Programs. The following items shall follow or be equal to the salient characteristics listed on the solicitation. Vendors proposing OR Equal Items MUST submit product literature (brochures, documentation, etc.) detailing the effectiveness and comparability of the OR Equal item(s) being offered to the items being acquired in this solicitation. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from the URL address at National Business Center Interior Electronic Acquisition System-Electronic Commerce at "http://www.fedbizopps.gov" or http://www.nbc.gov on or about March 8, 2010. No further notice will be posted on Fedbizopps. Responses to the solicitation are due by noon, Mountain Standard Time (MST), March 26, 2010. To receive an award, the successful awardees will be required to register in the Central Contractor Registration database. Award will be a single award all or none basis. Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be firm-fixed price. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336211 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees or less.
