- FBO NOTICE: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT-Holden Mine Technical Document Review. USDA Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Chelan County, Washington. The purpose of this Notice is to publicize the fact that the USDA- Forest Service intends to issue a contract modification to Contract No. AG-05GG-C-08-0001. The purpose of this modification is to raise the ceiling from $500,000 to $1,360,333.00. This is a single source Requirements contract with the contractor, Hart Crowser, Inc. from Seattle, Washington. The requirements of the Contract are for engineering services and review of technical documents relative to the Holden Mine Cleanup Project mandated by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the State of Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA). Work will be performed under the authority provided in the FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The justification for the transaction is based upon a superior knowledge of approximately twelve years of performing oversight review and analysis of Responsible Party submittals, the site, the critical stage of the project, and resultant overall benefit to the Government and public. This notice satisfies the requirement of FAR Part 5 for publicizing contract opportunities.
