- The Asheville VAMC, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in construction to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision of Replace Campus Fence at the Asheville VAMC, NC. All work shall be completed within 240 calendar days after notice to proceed, which includes 60 days allowance for submittals. The NAICS code is 238990; small business size is $14M. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specifications on or about 17 March 2010. No hard copies provided. Pre-bid/walk through is scheduled for 23 March 2010 at 10:00am, only one will be offered at the same time to all interested parties and will be at Bldg 15, 3rd floor, Room 330. Bid opening will be on/or about 19 April 2010 and the deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior. Firms must be registered at Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and at Vet Biz and Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening. Specifics on the projects as follows: This project will replace the existing campus fence around the perimeter of the property of the VAMC in Asheville, NC. The project will involve the removal of the existing chain link fence, and installing new fence to match existing surrounding architecture and meet the Department of Homeland Security requirements for federal fencing. Some fence sections shall include brick/concrete decorative pilasters with black aluminum fencing.
