- Description
- The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals which, when evaluated, are intended to result in the execution of a contract(s) between TVA and the successful Offeror(s) to perform surveys in order to locate and document underground facilities and obstructions. This work shall consist of 2 parts: Part ALocate underground utilities in a given project area as defined by TVA, marking the facilities on the ground with paint and/or wire flagging to a 24-inch locate variation on either side of the utility that is marked and shall be able to identify on drawings the findings, and shall be able to identify what the findings are. Contractor shall be able to identify on drawings the findings, and shall be able to identify what the findings are. Contractor agrees to use its best efforts in locating and non-metallic facilities; however, contractor expressly disclaims any and all liability and responsibility for incorrect facility locations. Part BPerform a field survey (cloth tape accuracy) of the area containing marked locations of the discovered utilities and sufficient nearby ground features to correlate and record the findings. TVA will supply locations and coordinates for nearby bench marks. Such recordings shall be mapped to scale using AutoCAD and saved to version 2002 model space. Each drawing shall be saved in a single file (multiple sheets in a single file are not acceptable). Contractor may provide pricing on Part A alone or Part A and Part B.
