- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command intends to award a sole source contract to Oldenburg Group Incorporated (OGI) in Kingsford, MI, for the overhaul and repair of the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) Side Connectors. This procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract and the period of performance is from March 2010 to November 2010. This requirement consists of the overhaul and repair of connectors for two Maritime Prepositioned Force (MPF) ship-sets. Overhaul will include the systematic dismantling, testing, and analysis of the connector to ensure operability. Repair consists of the mitigation effort performed for any issues found. OGI is the only source with the requisite expertise to successfully meet the requirement without duplicative cost or unreasonable delay. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact OGI directly. This is a new procurement; it does not replace an existing contract. This contract is only for two MPF ship-sets; the Naval Facilities Engineering Command intends to competitively award the contract for future year ship-sets.
