Description
The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System intends to negotiate Sole Source with Marathon Medical located in Commerce City, CO for equipment and supplies for the Veterans Affairs (VA) Federal Coordinating Center - Patient Reception Team (FCC/PRT) Cache located in Denver, CO. This requirement is a set-aside for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business pursuant to the Veterans First Contracting Program. The VA FCC/PRT Cache has a requirement for medical equipment and supplies to provide the VA Patient Reception Team a separate and independent Cache to work from during NDMS Patient Movement evolutions. The Cache will be required to be "in-service" within two (2) months of contract approval. The Contractor will provide space storage for the Cache that meets the following requirements: local to the Denver Metropolitan Area, climate controlled monitored security, and rapid access. The Contractor will maintain the VA FCC/PRT Cache in a ready to respond state. This maintenance will include battery rotation and conditioning, inventory management, and rotation of expired stock. The Contractor will ensure delivery of Cache to a specified location within FEMA Region VIII. In the event of FCC/PRT activation, pick-up of a cache will happen within 4 hours of notice by VA FCC/PRT. Contractor must have significant experience in disaster and emergency preparedness and response at the local, state, and federal levels.
