- Description
- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501 to Cetacean Research Technology, 4728 12th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105-4402. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Cetacean Research Technology is the only known source capable of meeting the governments requirements for the Sound Technology ST1400ENV. This is the only system available that is both designed for field use in a marine environment (i.e., not designed for studio or laboratory use) and produces calibrated data files compatible with existing EE-W Sound Technologies SpectraLab sound data analysis software. The government intends to acquire this service using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. CST on March 9, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to benjamin.t.smithhart@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
