- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor is conducting market research to idenfity contractors that can provide personal assistant services to an individual with a significant disability. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. The proposed acquisition will be classified under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541611, and the Small Business Standard is $7 million. The requirement involves the provision of clerical support such as filing, taking dictation, knowledge and skill in Microsoft Excel and Word, and other office work as directed by the individual with a disability. The contractor staff must feed the individual lunch and may need to provide other support of a personal nature. The contractor must have the capacity to provide staff assistance for six hours daily along with back-up staff in the event of absence due to sickness or requested leave and must demonstrate a history of providing personal assistant services, as well as back-up personal assistant services. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement, to Ms. Jillian Matz, Contracting Officer, Division of Contract Services, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room N4655, Washington, DC 20210. Responses are due March 5, 2010 by 2 p.m. EST. Electronic copies of capability statements are preferred and may be emailed to brown.jeffrey@dol.gov. The response must be specific to each the requirement listed above to demonstrate that the respondent has the skills and experience. The submittals shall not exceed 5 pages, TOTAL. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition as a set-aside is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
