- General: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), is soliciting proposals for firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the DOI National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation will be available. NO PHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the NBC website. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will also need to be registered at the above listed site. This service is provided as a convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Offerors are responsible for visiting this website periodically. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the Central Contractors Register (CCR) on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. No other notification will be issued. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF. The tentative proposed solicitation issue date is on or about March 24, 2010. Title of Project: Compactor Storage Design, Delivery and Installation Description: This work will consist of designing, delivering, and installing a compactor storage unit for museum cabinetry and objects in the museum storage area in the Cemetery/Curatorial Building located at Andersonville National Historical Site, Andersonville, Georgia. Georgia. The compactor storage will accommodate existing and newly purchased cabinetry, an art panel, and shelving. The system will be constructed in such a way that it could be moved to a new location in the future. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide storage for cultural objects and artwork that meets National Park Service (NPS) and professional museum standards. A pre-proposal site visit is highly recommended to verify all measurements, and to evaluate delivery and installation constraints. The date of the site visit and full Scope of Work (SOW) will be published in the solicitation. Type of Procurement: A Firm-Fixed contract is anticipated to be awarded.Estimated price range: $25,000.00 - $100,000.00. The NAICS code is 238990. This solicitation will be a set aside for Small Business.
