Description
PLEASE NOTE - THIS REQUIREMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY LISTED UNDER SOLICITATION # N40085-10-R-3503. THERE IS ONLY ONE REQUIREMENT. This is not a request for either a quote or proposal. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to notify potential offerors of the USMC requirement to maintain, repair, and alter Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Havelock, North Carolina. Contractor shall implement and execute a preventative maintenance program, perform service calls and other recurring services, and provide inspection and testing in order to insure that the VTE is fully functional and operational. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining the VTE up to the Firm Fixed Price Limit per equipment or component per occurrence. Additionally major repair work will be ordered under the IDIQ portion of the Contract. The Contractor shall provide sufficient material, labor, equipment, supervision, and transportation to fulfill all requirements of the contract in accordance with the timeliness standards as set forth by the Government. The proposed contractor's work plan shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Regulations. Additional requirements will be provided in the solicitation. Complete, detailed specifications will be provided with the solicitation. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 the annual size standard is $7,000,000.00. The proposed contract is 100 % set-aside for small business. The Government plans to award a commercial, combination firm fixed price (FFP) / indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), performance-based contract with a base period of one (1) year plus four (4) one-year options. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. In certain circumstances, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six (6) months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at www.neco.navy.mil and www.fedbizopps.gov/ when it becomes available. The solicitation will be available on or about 3 March 2010. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is on or about 19 March 2010. The solicitation will be available in electronic format only. The solicitation will utilize evaluation factors including price, past performance and technical ability to meet the Government's need.
