- Description
- The Northern Regional (Region 1) Acquisition Management Office of the US Forest Service anticipates awarding one or more indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts for construction materials testing and geotechnical services. The Region includes the state of Montana as well as portions of North Idaho, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Services may also be required to support the Intermountain Region (Region 4) for projects in areas adjacent to the Northern Region. The work involves engineering services related to low-volume road, facility design and construction, and road or bridge construction in Region 1 of the US Forest Service. Required services are primarily in the areas of asphalt, chip seal, concrete, aggregate surface, and aggregate stabilized pavements; construction materials testing and inspections on all types of roads and facilities; inspections, investigation, analysis and design for pavements, small dams, hydraulic structures, landslides, retaining structures, foundations, and rock sources. The successful contractor must demonstrate superior abilities in the areas described above and also be familiar with working in remote areas and in the kinds of conditions associated with working in and around the mountainous west. This contract is being solicited using Architectural and Engineering procedures and in accordance with the Brooks Act.
