- THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order for the dry dock and repair of the NOAA AUKK-R-5001 vessel. The AUK is home ported in Scituate, Massachusetts. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): BASE ITEMS - Dry docking and Routine Dry docking Work, Accomplish Underbody Coating System, Accomplish Prop-Speed Renewal, Accomplish Installation of Government Furnished Winch, Accomplish A-Frame Repairs. OPTION ITEM - Clean Engine Rooms and Bow-Thruster Compatrments. All work shall be performed at the vendors site. Offerors shall be with 100 nautical miles of Scituate, Ma in order for their offer to be considered for award. It is anticipated work shall start on March 19, 2010 and be completed on March 26, 2010. Anticipated award date is March 17, 2010. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with Dave Waller (228) 861-13571 or Ben Haskell (781) 545-8026 x207. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued based on price and price related factors (cost to transit), and past performance. The contractor must have USCG or ABS certified welders and provide proof of certification with their offer. The contractor must be able to haul out and store the vessel at no additional cost to the government throughout the contract execution. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail to Linda Mullen or faxed to 757-664-3649. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBISOPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, and all subsequent amendments. The specification will be uploaded via www.eps.gov with the RFQ. Vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and obtain (and provide with their quote) a DUNS number.
