- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Central Iowa Health Care System, (VACIH), Des Moines, IA intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, labor, equipment and materials for remodeling work for VACIH Bldg. 3 that is inclusive of demolition, new wall construction, asbestos abatement, and replacement of HVAC system in accordance with the specifications and drawings issued for construction. Project Number 636A6-09-105 (RECOVERY ACT)'Bldg 3 HVAC' at the Central Iowa Health Care Center, Des Moines, IA.s, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work is to be completed within 305 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/) prior to award. Bidders must also be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to sarah.schauf@va.gov. Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for March16, 2010. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for May 05, 2010 at 9:00 A.M.CST, in Bldg. #2, Room #214 at Central Iowa Health Care System, 3600 30th St, Des Moines, IA 50310. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
