- PROJECT NAME: Construction of Rural School Sanitation PROJECT SUMMARY: This design-build construction project consists of constructing 10 Ecological Sanitation Toilets, or dry toilets, for public schools and orphanages throughout Moldova. This project will use the Best-Value Trade-Off Acquisition Selection process in accordance with the United States Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The project will be solicited under Full and Open competition within Moldova and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price construction project contract. This is a Design-build construction contract. The winning bidder will be responsible for providing design and completion of the renovation work as detailed in the contract documents. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will be conducting a pre-solicitation conference and site visit to provide detailed information concerning the requirements for contractors interested in submitting bids. Contractors interested in receiving information concerning the current project, please contact the following individuals to obtain a copy of the solicitation and site visit information. If you are interested in attending the site visits, please respond no later than 15 March 2010. Solicitation will be issued on or about 18 March 2010. Prime construction firms are required to provide their physical address, along with a telephone number, facsimile number, an English-speaking point of contact and e-mail address. Requests that do not provide complete information will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. The solicitation will be issued free of charge by downloading from a designated website. The website address will be provided to all qualified offerors at a later date. All requests for interest in this solicitation must refer to solicitation number W912GB-10-R-0032 and be sent to the attention of Mr. Rainey.
