- The 316th Contracting Squadron intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to provide round-trip transportation for an estimated 100,000 spectators from Federal Express Field to Joint Base Andrews-NAF Washington, Maryland and an estimated 50,000 spectators to and from the Branch Avenue Metro Station. Along with an estimated 20,000 Department of Defense (DoD) spectators on and around Joint Base Andrews-NAF Washington, Maryland in support of the 2010 Joint Service Open House (JSOH) from 14 May 2010 through 16 May 2010. This action will be set-aside for small business. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 485210 (Interurban and Rural Bus Transportation) with the business size standard dollar amount of $7M. There will be no public bid opening. The basis for award will be LPTA. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 3 March 2010 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning CCR registered requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR Registration Center at 1-888-227-2423. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the government to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this is solely within the discretion of the Government. The purpose of the Government is to conduct other than full and open competitive procurement utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and Part 15 procedures.
