- RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT TO REPLACE EXISTING (9) WINDOWS AND (7) DOORS ON MAINTENANCE AND TOOL SHED BUILDINGS AT FORT MCPHERSON NATIONAL CEMETERY, MAXWELL, NE. 69151-1031. (PROJECT NUMBER R-CSD-121-01) This project is being funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-RA-0040 for the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to replace doors and windows on maintenance and tool shed buildings at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, 12004 South Spur, Maxwell, NE 69151-1031 in accordance with the project statement of work, drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Work includes the following: a.Contractor shall demolish and remove five (5) existing doors and frames at the Maintenance building and two (2) doors at the tool shed building. b.Demolish and remove four (4) existing windows ant the Maintenance building and five (5) windows at the tool shed building. c.Haul away & dump debris and waste to an approved disposal site d.Thoroughly clean up work area at end of day's work and at completion of project. Leave premises clean and free of waste, scrap, used equipment, or other material intentionally or incidentally delivered to the site by Contractor or Contractor's personnel. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 45 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 236220 SIZE STANDARD: $33.5 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be released for issue on March 22, 2010. The last date that questions will be accepted for this solicitation will be Close of Business, Friday, April 16, 2010.
