- Description
- PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATINAL PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District has a requirement to renew the GE Global software assurance subscription for the software upgrades that was previously procured for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The requirement will also include additional software toolkit components to use with GE Fanuc, iFix and Historian software. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Advantage Industrial Automation, Inc, 4775 River Green Parkway, Duluth, GA 30096-8567, under authority of FAR 6.302. The contract for the subscription renewal and the purchase for the iFix software for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems at the hydropower plants was originally competed and awarded to Advantage Industrial Automation, Inc. The software assurance subscription provides necessary security patches, software updates, and technical support. The subscription renewal is required to maintain and operate the hydropower facility SCADA systems as well as meet NERC requirements. The subscription was originally purchased through Advantage Industrial Automation, who provided the software licenses for which the subscription covers. This requirement is a renewal software maintenance agreement and must be renewed through the vendor from whom the software was originally purchased. The software toolkits are add-on components to the GE iFix software that was originally purchased. The toolkits are required to maintain and operate the SCADA systems. Acquiring the toolkits through the same vendor would ensure the correct options are selected and correctly tied to original software license. It is anticipated that a fixed Price contract will be awarded. The (NAICS) code is 423430 and size standard is 100 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 15 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions should be sent by email to Geanette Kelley, at geanette.kelley@usace.army.mil.
