- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the Center for Nuetron Research group, intends to negotiate with ITT Visual Information Solutions, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, for the purchase of Software maintenance renewal for Interactive Data Language (IDL) for developing applications for scientific data visualization at the NIST. IDL has been in constant use for over 9 years at NIST and continues to be used for the Data Analysis and Visualization Environment (DVE) collaboration which includes the NCNR and other institutions. Software maintenance for IDL is propriety and must be purchased only from ITT. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST and are authorized to provide these before March 5, 2010 at 12:00 pm EST. To be considered an affirmative response, vendors must submit written data and documentation which demonstrates their authorization to meet these requirements. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used Sole Source Notice of Intent - ITT Visual Information Solutions for this acquisition.
