Description
•Furnish any and all labor, transportation, equipment, supplies, water, services, supervision, permits, and licenses necessary to spray herbicide on approximately 1500 acres of Sickleweed. •Contractor will provide 1125 ounces of Escort XP, which will be applied at the ¾ oz/ac. Escort XP (an exuberated paste) is made by DuPont and needs to be precision packed by the Escort distributor to match the equipment being used in order to ensure that ¾ oz/acre is being met. •In addition to the Escort XP, the contractor will provide 62.5 gallons of Liberatetm Penetrant Deposition and Drift Control Agent and 62.5 gallons of Water Soft (a water-conditioning agent made by UAP Timberland). •Broadcast application of Escort XP on the majority of the area accessible by large equipment will require approximately 20-25 gallons of water/herbicide mix per acre. Contractor will be required to provide all water. •Contractor will provide GIS based maps along with raw GPS data (datum used shall be discussed with Forest Service before collection of GPS data) of treated areas along with pesticide application records to the Forest Service at the completion of treatment. The contractor will also be required to provide the Forest Service with total pounds of active ingredient per acre applied at the conclusion of the project. (See Attachments) •Contractor will comply with all pesticide use requirements set forth under SD Law (SDCL) 38-21 and Administrative Rule (ARSD) 12:56. Services covered in this solicitation and resultant contract are to be performed during the 2010 field season. Work shall occur when the target plants are actively growing and weather conditions allow them to be susceptible to herbicide effects as per label directions. Work may begin on or about the middle of May and the Contractor shall complete all fieldwork no later than June 30, 2010 and all reports no later than July 31, 2010. Once the plants are mature enough for treatment to begin, the entire treatment will need to be completed within a week to 10 days (from first signs of buds to bloom stage).
