- Description
- RECOVERY -- INFORMATION NOTICE -- PROJECT 657A5-09-107, RELOCATE/UPGRADE BUILDING 50 GENERATOR AND ELECTRICAL, at the Marion, IL, VA Medical Center. This Special Notice is issued for Informational purposes only. As such, it does not constitute an actual amendment to the solicitation VA-255-10-RA-0149. It has been brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer that there is an obvious error in the Proposal Submittal Instruction on pages 7 through 12 of the Solicitation RFP document. 1. This part of the document incorrectly identifies the solicitation number to be VA-255-09-RA-0427, while the correct solicitation number is VA-255-10-RA-0149. 2. This part of of the document also incorrectly identifies the Project to be 589-07-130, Upgrade Emergency Power Building 1 FCA Corrections, at Department of Veteran Affairs, Kansas City, Missouri VAMC. The correct Project number and description, of course, is 657A5-09-107, Relocate/Upgrade Building 50 Generator and Electrical, at the Marion, IL, VA Medical Center, as indicated in the SF-1442. 3. Under "d. NUMBER OF COPIES TO SUBMIT." offerors are told to label their envelopes with the mistakenly entered project number & description. Therefore, due to the close proximity of the submittal deadline for this solicitation. It is hereby noted that if any offerors copied the mistaken project number & description in their envelope labeling, this will not count against them in the proposal evaluation. If any offerors actually used the correct project number and description in their envelope labeling, that will not count against them, either. Therefore, if an offeror has already labeled their proposal envelope, they do not need to make any changes, since this obvious typographical error was not at the fault of any offerors. All offerors should go ahead and label their offer packages however they choose to do so. This includes both offerors who have already shipped their proposal packages, as well as offerors who are about to ship their proposal packages now. The bottom line of this informational special notice is to go ahead and label your offer package however you see fit, because it will be accepted however you labeled it, as long as it is received on time. This does not constitute an amendment. This is information to be shared with all interested parties.
