- Description
- This is a requirement for the overhaul of the KC-135 Gearbox Assemblies.The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and allmaterial to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packagingof the KC-135 Gearbox Assemblies. A total firm fixed price requirementstype contract is contemplated. The contract period is anticipated to be5 years with a basic one year and four one-year options. The items andquantities are as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN 1680-00-798-6073FL, Part Number (P/N)65-46075-3; Applicable to KC-135 aircraft; Basic Year and Options I thruIV Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ), 95 each.Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from theProduction Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 8each per month beginning 30 calendar days After Receipt of Order (ARO)the later of reparable item or funded order.Item 0002: Overhaul NSN 1680-00-645-6975FL, P/N 5-85679; Applicable toKC-135 aircraft; Basic Year and Options I thru IV BEQ, 160 each.Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from theProduction Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 8each per month beginning 30 calendar days ARO the later of reparableitem or funded order.Item 0003: Overhaul NSN 1680-00-789-9357FL, P/N 65-11875; Applicable toKC-135 aircraft; Basic Year and Options I thru IV BEQ, 40 each.Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from theProduction Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 4each per month beginning 30 calendar days ARO the later of reparableitem or funded order.Item 0004 Over and Above Work; Item 0005 Data IAW DD1423s. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
