Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking small business sources for a construction project entitled, Lucky Peak Re-Roofing. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Place of performance is Lucky Peak Dam, Boise, Idaho. Construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. 100% alternative payment protections will be required, pursuant to FAR 28.102-1(b). The purpose of this project is to replace the roofing on two buildings at the Lucky Peak Dam. The Office Building consists of three low-slope roof levels which drain to perimeter gutters. Work on these roofs includes: tear-off and replacement of the existing perimeter sheet metal flashing, installation of recover board insulation over the existing built-up asphalt roofing, and installation of a min. 2 ply modified-bitumen membrane (base sheet and cap sheet). The Outlook Building consists of one low-slope roof level which drains to roof drains. Work on this roof includes: tear-off and replacement of the existing perimeter sheet metal flashing, tear-off of the existing built-up asphalt roofing, installation of rigid roof insulation, resetting of roof drains, and installation of a min. 2 ply modified-bitumen membrane (base sheet and cap sheet). Each completed roof shall be accompanied by a minimum 20-year warranty issued by the roofing membrane manufacturer. Contractor is required to follow the procedures in the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, at http://www.usace.army.mil/CESO/Documents/EM385-1-1FINAL.pdf This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify small business concerns with the capability to accomplish the work. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting a statement of their current or past technical experience (what the firm has done) and current or past performance (how well the firm did it) similar to or the same as the requirements stated above, will be used in the determination of whether to set aside this requirement or open it to unrestricted competition.
