- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0320 on or about March 12, 2010, for the RECOVERY 20 Mile Trail Rehabilitation project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 12, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor required to rehabilitate approximately 1.4 miles of trail. Work includes installation of up to 16 trail bridges with curbs or rails, improvement of existing waterbars for easier access, adding additional waterbars and ditching. Work also includes clearing, excavation, harvesting of logs, hauling, developing borrow materials existing road materials near the bridge sites, constructing log stringer trail bridges, constructing curbs or rail(s) on the trail bridge, place erosion control devices as needed, and incidental equipment rental with operator to perform the tread work. The intent of this contract is to provide for the complete project described in the contract. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. The Government’s estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION. The 20 Mile Trail Rehabilitation Project is located on the Craig Ranger District on Prince of Wales Island in the Harris River watershed off of Hollis State Highway 924. FOR MORE INFORMATION.
