Description: Contract Number: W15P7T-07-D-P020 NAICS code: 334519 Projected Contract Award Date: May 1, 2010 Synopsis: This is a notification that the United States Army CECOM Contracting Center intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519. The Radiac Set AN_UDR-13 is a compact, hand-held or pocket-carried tactical device that is capable of promptly measuring gamma_neutron doses from a nuclear event, and gamma dose rates from nuclear fallout associated with a tactical battlefield environment. It is used for radiation monitoring, reconnaissance, and decontamination. The unique technological capabilities and modes provided by this device, specifically its ability to accurately detect and measure radioactive contamination and alert users to the presence of radiation are vital capabilities needed to support critical missions. The Government requires the following: Demands for this item have been significantly greater than anticipated and, therefore, an increase in the ordering ceiling of Contract Number W15P7T-07-D-P020 is necessary to meet additional Warfighter requirements. The ordering ceiling will increase from $35M to $49M. This notice is not a request for quotations or proposals. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not reimburse for proposals submitted as a result of this announcement. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered.
