- CAUTION The purpose of this source sought synopsis is to identify potential contractors that possess the expertise, capabilities and experience to meet requirements to provide translation services for Foreign Military Service (FMS) requirements. Contractors/Institutions responding to this sources sought synopsis are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with participation in the sources sought synopsis. INSTRUCTIONS: 1.Below is a short description of the requirements, a request for your business information, and a Contractor Capability Survey which allows you to provide your companys capabilities. 2.If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate the sources sought synopsis, you should provide documentation that supports your companys capabilities in meeting these potential requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the Government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. 3.Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this sources sought synopsis. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged and up to each industry partner. PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is issuing this sources sought synopsis to identify potential sources that can provide technical translations of US Government and/or Commercial weapons operator and maintenance manuals from English into the following languages and regional dialects: "Classic/Formal Arabic (Iraq) "Farsi (Afghanistan) "Dari (Afghanistan) "Pashto ( Afghanistan) Translators need to be familiar with technical terminology of both standard and non-standard Army weapons.
