Description
To lease a twenty-four source hyperalimentation Total Parental Nutrition compounder for multi-source fluid mixing of both macro and micro ingredients down to 0.2 ml. This must be a single compounder that can mix micro and macro solutions simultaneously into one IV bag in a sterile environment. The system software must be HIPPA compliant. The machine must comply with JCAHO standards by utilizing bar-coding technology. The compounder must have a flow rate of up to 13.5ml/second and a repeatable accuracy of +/- 3% from 1 ml to 9990 ml and mix 10 ingredient 1,000ml formulas in 2 minutes, 45 seconds. The compounder needs to occupy less than 1000cm2 of laminar flow hood space. Dimensions should be less than 1000 mm long, 250mm wide and 300mm high. Must be compatible and interface with the current BAXA system components. This is a sole source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is BAXA Corporation, 1445 Grasslands Drive Englewood, CO 80112. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations recieved within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information recieved will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selections process." The size standard for this effort is $7,000,000. NAICS 532490. Delivery: 30 days ARO.
