Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13. This is a notice of intent. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Contracting Department is announcing its intent to issue a sole source request for quotation to Tektronix, Inc., 14150 SW Karl Braun Dr., Beaverton, OR 97077-0001. The NAICS code is 334515 and the Small Business size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is unrestricted. Authority is granted under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2) Other Than Full and Open Competition. A single award, firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated to be awarded as a result of this RFQ. This requirement is to acquire one (1) Optical Module, 39.813/43.018, Part Number: 80C10B. The attached copy of the solicitation contains a complete description of the items and applicable provisions and clauses. The Government is seeking quotations for new materials only. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N00244-10-T-0140. This solicitation documents incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-38 effective February 1, 2010 and DFARS Change Notice 20100224. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order will be based upon the responses and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
