- DENTAL ASSISTANT-STATEMENT OF WORK The below is an emergent fill position for VAMC Manchester, NH Applicant must be able to assist in all dental procedures supporting restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontal care and prosthetics. Applicant will be responsible for administrative duties that support the Dental Service's mission which include preparing the proper documents for all lab cases, sending out appointment reminder letters, filing of dental charts, and if needed, assisting in contacting patients to fill openings in the schedule, etc. Applicant will be responsible for maintenance of dental equipment and adhering to the infection control policy of the Dental Service. Applicant must be able to give oral health education to dental patients. Applicant must be certified in Dental Radiology and adhere to the Radiation Safety Policy. Applicant must be proficient in dental laboratory procedures such as taking and pouring impressions for study models and preparing prosthetics cases according to Dental Service Policy that will be sent to the Contact Dental Labs. Applicant will report to the VA Medical Center, Dental Service 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. All requests for absence will need approval from Acting, Dental Service Program Manager. Due to urgency of this need preference may be given to person who has recently undergone theVet Pro process.
