- ***THIS PROPOSED ACQUISITION IS SYNOPSIZED AND NOW CLASSIFIED AS A PRE-SOLICITATION*** This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. This proposed acquisition will be pursued as a competitive HUBZone set-aside. In order to qualify for this program, an offeror must be a certified HubZone prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The NAICS Code is 238110 and the Size Standard is $14M. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-10-R-0031 The project scope includes the repair/replacement of the main and side entrances steps, landings, and planter boxes for buildings 20014 (Project 0818251) and 20015 (Project 0818252), Area B. Repair work will require the removal of delaminated and loose concrete until solid/sound concrete materials are reached; precast riser/tread units are to be set in a leveling compound. At one location (side entrance), the entire stairway will be replaced. All handrails for both the main and side entrances will be replaced. The planter boxes will require the removal of the plantings/soil, the drain will be cleaned out, and the deteriorated surfaces will be repaired. These buildings are eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and require restoration treatments in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. Careful attention to detail will be required by an experienced contractor. Estimated magnitude of proposed acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-704 "Required Central Contractor Registration," Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. NOTES: 1. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 12 MAR 2010 at: http://www.fbo.gov. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 12 APR 2010. The period of performance is 180 days. 2. There is no fee for this solicitation. 3. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register, you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 4. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will not be a public opening. Sealed envelopes containing proposals shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 5. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. 6. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Pre-Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program.
