Description
PET/CT Solicitation Number: VA-244-10-RQ-0136 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Lebanon PA. is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing PET/CT services as outlined below. Applicable NAICS Code is 621512. Responses to this notice must be submitted by email and received not later than March 5, 2010. No telephone or fax inquiries will be accepted. Description of work to be performed includes: Statement of Work Provision of PET/CT Service to LVAMC A.SCOPE The mobile PET/CT contractor will provide PET/CT imaging service for the Lebanon VA Medical Center patients at least once weekly and more frequently if volume demands require it to accommodate timely service. The projected annual volume of studies is 160. B.CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide the following: "Mobile trailer - unit includes the PET/CT scanner, processing computer/workstation, hot lab facility and patient preparation/injection area. "Nuclear Medicine Technologist and any necessary support staff (driver, technical aide, etc.) "Valid and current NRC and Pennsylvania State licenses for isotopes; radiopharmaceuticals will be received on the trailer by the contractor's staff "Scan data will be transferred to the Lebanon VA Medical Center PACS and RIS by intranet link or by disc as agreed by both parties. "HIPAA compliance to maintain security and integrity of patient medical record and sensitive personal information. "References to include VA facilities currently using contractor services "The Contractor must be in the Central Contractor Registration ( CCR ). Schedule: The Dept of Veterans Affairs estimates a requirement of 160 studies per year. Initially, on-site schedule is expected to be one half-day per week, growing to possibly one full-day per week. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 621512 (size standard $1.5 million per annum). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions; (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business? A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
