- Description
- The contractor will provide the necessary herbicide, adjuvant, and non-ionic surfactant plus the helicopter, all other materials and equipment, and all labor necessary to perform the work. The contractor will be responsible for mixing the chemicals and preventing spills and will properly rinse and dispose of the chemical containers as well as all other trash that is generated. The contractor is responsible for drift and will take all necessary precautions to control drift and prevent spraying non-target areas. The contractor will supply all necessary drift control agents. The contractors helicopter must have a GPS unit that provides a map or drawing of the area actually sprayed plus a calculation of the actual acres sprayed at each location. The contractor will provide that information to the authorized representative of the contracting officer. The work to be performed under this contract is at various locations to be designated by the government on Coffeeville, Demopolis, Warrior, Holt, and Bankhead Lakes on the Lower Tombigbee and Black Warrior Lakes and Claiborne and Dannelly Lakes on the Alabama River. The sites are located in Clarke, Monroe, Choctaw, Marengo, Greene, Sumter, Hale, Wilcox, and Dallas Counties in Alabama. The contractor may be required to perform spraying on rocked areas along the shoreline at Coffeeville Lock and Dam. It is anticipated that a fixed- price contract will be awarded to perform this work. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business using NAICS is 115310 for which the size standard is $7,000,000.00 average gross income for the past three years. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download via www.fbo.gov. The solicitation is due to be posted on or about March 3, 2010. All prospective contractors must be registered in FBO before they provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert it is the offerors responsibility to check the website for solicitation posting and any information.
