- Due to the mission critical need of the requirement, a urgent and compelling task IAW FAR 8.405-6(b)(3), firm fixed price modification was issued to the current Vendor providing Facility Maintenance at Tinker AFB, OK. This will prevent delays, drop in service, excessive financial cost to the Government and mission failure. T his task is an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6(b)(3) to install a dedicated electrical line-feed for a CT scanner in the veterinary treatment facility. This scanner is currently off-line as there is inadequate electrical power available for accurate, reliable and safe function. Potential damage to this delicate piece of equipment is likely without adequate electrical power. Not only is the veterinary clinic without CT scan support for the military working dogs & providers, but Tinker AFB also provides medical support to local law enforcement dogs vital to the AF mission.
