- FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT:Scott Mahoney, RDER-PRA-GD, (732) 532-7508 This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for the Electric Power Plant III (EPP III), 150 kW 400 Hz Generator Set, and associated tool and spares kits all used with the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. The EPP III is the main electric power source for the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. The EPP III contains two German-made, diesel engine-driven 150 kW generators, a Power Distribution Unit (PDU), a Control Panel, and power cables. This acquisition is a one-time buy of 7 each EPP III units, P/N:015.05.0044, CAGE:D0857, 6 each 150 kW 400 Hz Generator Sets, P/N:010.04.0258, CAGE:D0857, 2 each EPP III Spare Parts, ASL, P/N:535.01.0327, CAGE:D0857, 7 each EPP III Spare Parts, PLL FU, P/N:535.01.0316, CAGE:D0857, 1 each EPP III Spare Parts, TASL, P/N:535.01.0333, CAGE:D0857, 1 each Depot Tools including Load Bank, P/N:535.01.0351, CAGE:D0857, 5 each DS Tool Kit, P/N:535.01.0339, CAGE:D0857, and 14 each GS Tool Kit, P/N:535.01.0345, CAGE:D0857. The current source for these items is Lechmotoren GMBH, CAGE:D0857, in Altenstadt, Germany. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this unit is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing this unit must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRA-GD, Building 1200W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges for price breaks if applicable or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply, and delivery of the parts. The response should also include documentation such as copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with this unit from the supplier listed above. Successful suppliers may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
