- RECOVERY INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT (ISRDS) CONTRACTNUMBER NNA08CG83C. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLEONLY TO STINGER GHAFFARIAN TECHNOLOGIES INCORPORATED (SGT, INC.) UNDER CONTRACT NUMBERNNA08CG83C FOR INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT (ISRDS) AT NASA AMESRESEARCH CENTER (ARC) LOCATED AT MOFFETT FIELD, CA. THIS IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THEAMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA). ARC modified contract numberNNA08CG83C to fully fund Task Order 65 with ARRA funds. ARC issued Task Order 65, titledEmergency Planning for Damaged Aircraft (EPDA). Task Order 65 supports NASA Recovery Actwork sponsored by the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) and the AviationSafety Program (ASP). Research funded by Recovery Act within the ASP will focus ondeveloping innovative tools, concepts, methods, and technologies that will improve theintrinsic safety attributes of current and future aircraft and aviation operations. TheIntegrated Intelligent Flight Deck (IIFD) Project focuses on the challenges of aircraftautomation functions in the NextGen environment with particular attention to thepotential for safety and capacity increases in the terminal area. In support of theseefforts, the contractor shall extend improvements to a prototype tool (the the EmergencyLanding PlannerELP) that will allow pilots to quickly see and evaluate the best possibleemergency landing sites when damage or failures occur at an airport. This task will befunded by the Recovery Act. The Intelligent Systems Research and Development Support (ISRDS) contract numberNNA08CG83C was made on a competitive basis. This announcement is for informational purposes only.
