- Description
- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - RECOVERY - Project 578-07-115, HVAC Upgrade, Bldg. #200 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines Illinois. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Building 200 HVAC upgrade, as required by drawings and specifications. Detailed specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation package. Work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, drainage, mechanical and electrical work and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Execute work so as to interfere as little as possible with normal functioning of Medical Center as a whole, including operations of utility services, fire protection systems and any existing equipment, and with work being done by others. Maintain existing utility services for Medical Center at all times. Provide temporary facilities, labor, materials, equipment, connections, and utilities to assure uninterrupted services. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 09, 2010 with the bid opening on/about April 09, 2010. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package, but the conference is tentatively scheduled on/about March 23, 2010 at VA Hines. The project magnitude range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 million applies. Time for completion is 365 days after Notice to Proceed.
