- Description
- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - RECOVERY - Project 578-06-135, Sandcast Water Mains, at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines Illinois. Contractor shall completely prepare site for water main installation and booster station installation, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for water main improvements as required by drawings and specifications. Execute work so as to interfere as little as possible with normal functioning of Medical Center as a whole, including operations of utility services, fire protection systems and any existing equipment, and with work being done by others. The project includes a new primary 12" feed, an independent pumping and chlorination station, a series of intermediate piping connections, and a new 12" feed into the water tower, as a minimum. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 10, 2010 with the bid opening on/about April 09, 2010. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package, but the conference is tentatively scheduled on/about March 25, 2010 at VA Hines. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 237110; size standard $33.5 million applies. Time for completion is 180 days after Notice to Proceed.
