- RECOVERY The National Park Service has identified a requirment to install a photovoltaic system and conduct structural and electrical modificaitons to the Visitor Center at Hawaii Volvano National Park, Island of Hawaii, HI. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with the DOI are required to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of changes to this specific solicitation once issued. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all inforamtion relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notificaitons will be sent. This procurement will be advertised under Full and Open competition. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 36, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classificaiton System (NAICS) code is 238160. TAS: 14 1035 - DM, Trails, Youth Projects PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: Renovation and repair of the existing single story wood famed building, the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the existing building and electrical modifications. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. We anticipate the solicitation will be posted on or after March 11, 2010. All questions pertaining to this announcement MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING by e:mail to Kim_Glass@nps.gov or faxed to 415/561-4795. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
